Well, I would suggest multiple notes (especially since it'd
give you
more room to brainstorm on a particular item if you felt the
urge),
perhaps with categories worked into the titles, such as
"Work: Get a
Promotion" or "Personal: Get Married" or
"Spiritual: Find My Purpose".
At that high an altitude, putting a category as the first
word of the
title makes organization easy enough, and you can certainly
get by with
the built-in apps.
Since you seem to indicate that's not working out too well
for you, I'm
going to suggest an additional app. Sorry, but I can't see
a better
way using the built-in apps.
I find that processing and maintaining goals and
high-altitude lists
are easiest in an outline form. The best outlining program
I've found
for the Palm is Bonsai (http://www.natara.com).
It's simple, it's
stable, and it's useful for many different things. And it's
got a
Windows desktop application too. Others like ShadowPlan,
though I find
Bonsai a bit better.
If you're into mind-mapping, Inspiration is really good
(though a bit
pricey). It too has a Windows client, but that's a separate
purchase.
Personally, I'd give Bonsai a spin and see what you think.
