Windows XP home. Dell 3000 no hardware upgrades.
I was downloading content from a torrent site. I downloaded a video and the
video did not work. In the video window it said something to the effect
download playerdom.com or something like that so I did and now my computer
is having IE pop up windows when no one is on the net. I think I have
spyware that My anti virus program Trend Micro cannot find. I also have

spybot S&D up to date
ccleaner up to date
WinXP manager it's a good program
spyware guard
spyware blaster

I really like Norton but the people at best buy said Trend Micro antivirus
2007 was better.
it runs out soon then I'm going to Norton.

BTW how does free trial programs know if you have used it before? Like
what's on your computer that tells the free shareware that you have used it.
So you cannot use it again without restoring your computer?

There is a cyber war on anti virus programs
Norton says there good
the one I have says they are good
People use free antivirus programs and say they are good.

what's really good to keep your PC safe.

Go to wwwpandasoftware.com and take the free scan. Allow all download for
this scan to take place, Consider strongly getting panda as you full

To remove Norton go to www.symantec,com and get the removal tool.
