Hey all.

I am having a bit of a weird problem. Am working on my mom in laws
computer, she always has the strangest problems, and though it states
she is the system administrator, she can't change anything. I only
need at this time to change her home page on internet options and it
won't allow. Can anyone suggest something to help me. I have to
return her computer on Thursday.

Thanks all.

Laura

Hi Laura,

under the internet explorer icon, go to properties, from there go to homepage and type the home page website you want. But do it under your mother in laws page since she is the administrator. let me know if this works. email me at rghcomputers.com

Try booting into safe mode and log in as the administrator account.
Go into the control panel and go to user accounts.
Check on the setting of her account to see if everything is available to
her.
If not, create a new administrator account for her. Reboot and then see
if you can change the settings.
