Job Description: Contract Opportunity in Atlanta

Our customer is headquartered in Atlanta and one of the
largest privately held companies in the nation. Their focus
is in the telecommunications, entertainment and online
specialty spaces. They are currently looking for a seasoned
Senior Java developer to join their team on an initial 6
month contract. The ideal consultant will have a strong
product-centric knowledge background, and understand and
flourish in the environment that rewards speed to market,
zero defects and strong teamwork. A proven track record of
success in a rigorous environment is essential for this
position. 
The candidate will be responsible for the development of two
critical applications used in the provisioning and
self-service of customer. This system takes requests from
various departments or requests and translates them into
actual "work" and deliverables. This is an
intelligent workflow system - so experience with a job
workflow or business process workflow system is very
desirable for the opportunity. 

The job duties will include designing J2EE applications,
working with a team of skilled J2EE developer, working with
Quality Assurance team and developing J2EE applications.
Because this is a small, efficient and fluid team -
impeccable communication skills are essential. The
developers will be expected to work directly with the
business owners to understand their needs from a business
perspective, then develop the applications. The consultant
will also be expected to enforce code guidelines. 

Technical Qualifications: 

Experience with Struts, JavaScript, HTML and overall
experience with the front-end. This consultant would work
with an experienced developer that is focused on the
back-end. 

The ideal consultant will embrace and believe in developing
strong test cases. Therefore exposure and demonstrated
ability working with Junit is important - as our customer is
evolving towards test driven development. Our customer
believes strongly in this philosophy and is looking for
consultants who can continue this development initiative. 

Additionally, the ability to work in a rigorous environment
where some additional hours and dedication are needed.
