As a member of Daugherty Business Solutions, the Senior
Application Architect is a top-level expert in one or more
integration competencies of application programming. They
will provide technical direction as to the general
structure, flow of control and strategy for positioning
logic between software modules. Responsible for software
analysis, design and construction testing. Plays a critical
role in all implementations. Primary responsibility lies in
assisting in the definition of the architecture to be used
in a Daugherty implementation.
Additional responsibilities include:
•Lead the technical aspects of a small to medium scale
implementation.
•Work as part of a team with other Daugherty consultants
and managers and/or client staff to define components of an
enterprise architecture assist in the definition of a
development and deployment approach to be used to realise
this architecture.
•To work as part of a team with other Daugherty
consultants, and/or client staff to implement business
requirements.
•Act as a technical reference for design, development,
testing and deployment knowledge.
•Uphold the professional standards and work ethic expected
of all our Consultancy staff and to lead by example when
working with less experienced staff. To take a leadership
and mentoring role
Required Skills:
•A minimum of 8+ year’s post-graduate experience and a
diploma or degree in a computer-related discipline or
equivalent computer-related technical experience.
•Excellent knowledge of modern software architectures.
Must possess competency in SDLC, RUP and UML
•Experience of building and designing large scale
client/server business systems.
•Ability to lead technical teams where required, and to
articulate customer objectives in technical terms to senior
management, business users and the development team
•Solid knowledge of J2EE (including HTML, JSP and EJB
technologies) and component based development.
•Very strong communication skills (both verbal and
written)
