All,

Policy Banks, being "new" to amavisd are
definitely new to me. The
"originating" style policy bank is very appealing
to me, and I would
like to implement this. I realize there are a few methods
to
accommodate this. I think I would prefer to do it with
XFORWARD from
postfix.

The example demonstrated in the amavisd documentation
references a
postfix that listens on two separate IP addresses. Is this
required? I
would prefer to do this with one, but I am a little blocked
on how that
would be accomplished.

Appreciate any input!

Thanks,

Jason

Switching policy banks based on client IP address as
obtained
through XFORWARD is on a to-do, but not available yet.

For now you have two choices: if switching based on
client IP neing withing mynetworks or not
suffices,
use MYNETS p.b.

Otherwise you need to let amavisd listen on multiple TCP
ports
and switch p.b. based on a port number, then let MTA
take decisions based on any criteria you want, and select
a policy filter on the right port.

Thanks. I must have been reading the TODO

Cool and easy. I implemented the MYNET method.
Seems easy enough. This should be an improvement.
