I found that the amavisnewsql quarantine system is
essentially broken,
but I was otherwise able to create a schema that seems to
play nice
with both amavisnewsql and amavisd-new:

I chose to use a combination of 'plus addressing' to a Spam
folder
and/or quarantine to MailZu. I also modified amavisnewsql to
allow
modification of spam_quarantine_cutoff_level (in addition
to
spam_tag2_level and spam_kill_level).
