MAIN NEW FEATURES SUMMARY:
- integrated DKIM signing and verification; see section
A QUICK START TO DKIM SIGNING by the end of a release
note;
- SQL logging and quarantining tables have a new field
'partition_tag';
- captures SpamAssassin logging, more flexibility specifying
SA log areas;
- collects and logs SpamAssassin timing breakdown report
(requires SA 3.3);
- releasing from a quarantine can place a released message
as an attachment;
- new experiental code for abuse reporting using the ARF
format;
There are some incompatibilities with 2.5.3 (mainly
affecting SQL
logging/quarantining tables), please see release notes.
Unfortunately the most recent module Mail: KIM is
needed because
of its functionality, bug fixes and speedups. Currently this
is
Mail-DKIM-0.29_4 (a pre-release of 0.30, already labeled as
0.30)
available from CPAN:

There are still some minor problems with it (verification
of messages where header fields were shuffled by some MTA),
which will hopefully be resolved with 0.29_5 or a released
0.30.
The mainstream functionality has been fully tested and is
believed to
be of production quality. Some new features may need further
polishing,
so some caution is advised. In particular, releasing from a
quarantine
with an original message as attachment still lacks stripping
of prepended
header fields, and sending reports is not fully finished.
The DKIM verification and signing should be fully
functional,
although the semantics of  dkim_signature_options_bysender_maps
might still change slightly before the final release. Also,
SQL lookups
to support choosing a signing key are currently not
implemented,
and neither is DKIM-based whitelisting, apart from
signer_reputation_maps (the DKIM-based whitelisting
in
SpamAssassin is independent and works normally - some
improvements
in DKIM-based whitelisting are coming with SpamAssassin
3.2.4).
Btw, here is the signer_reputation_maps which I currently
use.
The scores for each signing domain are long-term spam score
averages for all messages signed by each domain.
