Sophos SAVI: Failed to load SAVI virus data The main body of virus data is missing (54

I'm obviously too stupid for this:

I compiled the Perl Modules SAVI.
I added to my amavisd.conf:

av_scanners = (
# ### http://www.csupomona.edu/~henson/www/projects/SAVI-Perl/

 ['Sophos SAVI', &sophos_savi ],
...

And when I start amavisd-new debug, I get:

And in English: Of course I did, because otherwise I
wouldn't feel
inclined to activate sophos support in amavisd-new.

Did 'make test' succeed?

Ok.

The 'The main body of virus data is missing (544)'
diagnostics comes
directly from the SAVI's error_string() routine. Apparently
it can't
access its database .vdb or the directory (usually
/usr/local/sav).
Make sure it is accessible as user vscan(amavis).
