<sigh> I just had to reformat my hard drive yesterday. My computer is probably five years old or so, but when I bought it, it was top of the line so still "fast" in today's age. Some smart aleck decided to try to hack into my computer through my Firefox browser, and screwed up some stuff. <grrr> Learned a lesson the hard way - NEVER LET MY KIDS USE MY COMPUTER AGAIN! <grin>
It39;s always a good idea to run defrag and scandisk on your computer on a regular basis, and to regularly clear out your browsing history and cookies/temp folders. Belarc Advisor (awesome free service that tells you EVERYTHING that's on your computer, including the serial numbers (handy when you have to reinstall stuff). Another good idea is to get a big ziploc baggie (freezer strength for durability) and use it to put all of your important manuals and disks inside of - can't tell you how many times doing so has saved my behind (including yesterday!) Make sure you write down cd key codes inside of your manuals so you always have them too (if you don't want to use Belarc Advisor, which you can use for free and I guarantee it's an incredible service!!)
Have a great weekend, y'all! Summer "finally" arrived where I live so gonna play in the sun for a bit...

How old is 'old39;? I have an almost 3-year old HP & wonder if I should do a system 'refresh.' Ugh!
Thanks for any clarification.
