Hello everybody.
It has just come to my attention that the Chaos
Communication Camp is
taking place in Germany, near Berlin, from 8.august to the
12.august.
It is very much like an "un-conference", but the
first one took place
in 2000 or so, before the term was coined. (I actually was
there, at
the first camp.)
You bring your tent, get some wireless internet, talks and
workshops
take place,
but there is a lof of internet sub-culture happening and
general
festival atmosphere.
To get an impression you can look at the video documentation
of the
last camp:

What could we do at the camp:
We could improve ActiveRDF, or together build something with
it, or
just hang out.
Sadly, I missed the deadline for the Call for Papers, but
there will
be a lot of workshops and talks organised directly by the
particapants.
See the list of villages ("communities") and the
list of projects:

It might be even possible to announce a "Future of the
Web" Project,
to see who else is coming from the Semantic Web and
Structured Web
community.
Would anybody here be interested in this ?
cheers, Benjamin.
