and for applications it should be 755 or 555.
I just noticed that after reading this email I've been
assuming anyone
can execute applications that I am installing into the
repository, but
that is not true. It seems like teacup, and possibly
teapot-admin,
should have an option of specifying the permissions beyond
the defaults
listed above. This would allow you to install
packages/applications
that not everyone should have access too. The other thought
would be
applications (updateable starkits) that should be writable
by the end
user to store data. Using 755 or 555 would not guarantee
that users
could write to them. I'm not totally sure if either of
those two
options make sense.
