hey guys, can anyone recommend a good book for learning C#
OOP with
view to use in ASP.NET? Failing that, a good C# OOP book
would do. I
have a few years ASP.NET experience but it's in VB and I'd
like to
move to C# and start using OOP properly - however, I've no
formal OOP
training either academically or professionally and want to
know the
right way to build OOP-based apps.
Any help appreciated.

Hey, Ben.
You pretty much want to read every book on this list..
http://blog.jpboodhoo.com/ReadAnyGoodBooksLately.aspx
Not alot of C# so that doesn't really help in that
department but if you are
serious about the OOP department then this list will get you
where you want
to be. In fact I'd recommend taking some time to check out
the authors blog
as well.
Regards,
Shane

Head First books are usually very good books. I'd recommend
starting with
those books first.

Hi guys.
Thanks for the suggestions; I'll do a bit more research
before I buy.
As it happens, I found a copy of O'Reilly's
"Programming .NET
Components" at work! Seems to cover
component-orientated programming
fundamentals... and all geared up for .NET too - brill!
Just about got my head around the point of using
Interfaces...
interesting stuff!
