My impression (and a check of a few random weeks in 2008)
suggests we
average perhaps 5 posts a day, so ~1500 to 2000 posts a
year. Allowing for
that I think the list was more active a few years ago, I'd
guess that
means perhaps 10K to 15K posts in total.  A bot that
downloaded, say, 1
post every 5 seconds would complete that in a day. Make that
a few days if
we wanted to preserve the other lists on the server too.
