I think it's hight time for us all to hear again how good it
is that
kernel developers adopted their technically unsubstantiated
document
regarding binary kernel drivers as a whole and binary API in
particular.

And, of course, the original message indicates yet another
build mechanism
bug - 'configure' completing OK followed by failing 'make'
is a bug by definition.
