Hiya, I just got an Abit NF-M2 nView motherboard with
builtin HDA NVidia audio (Realtek ALC883 chipset,
AC97) and I just installed ALSA (from a new Debian
etch install).
Although ALSA is working straight out of the box, it's
working VERY very quietly -- audio playback is very
low even when the volume levels are cranked all the
way with alsamixer. I connected mics and line in
sources and when unmuted they sound equally quiet even
when their levels are cranked to max.
I hope someone can help me! I hope I'm just forgetting
to do something and that it's an easy fix, not a
driver bug!
