We have two internet storefront sites and a few months ago
signed with
an SEO called Internet Advancement which sounded like it
would really
help. It was fairly expensive -- it offered a variety of
levels, and
we signed for the least expensive. They did raise our
ranking level on
a number of search engines (including Google), but so far at
least it
hasn't had any effect on sales. My wife found Google
Adwords and has
decided that she can do just as well with that and I think
we will
probably drop Internet Advancement. We're starting out with
very low
CPC and daily budgets rates in order to keep expenses low.
I think
those SEOs -- like the hosting programs, etc., also -- that
tell us
they can help us make money, are really in the business of
making money
for themselves first and foremost. I've become very
skeptical of their
claims -- but, then our experience with them is very
limited.
