I've often seen users use the state code in their search
terms.
I would guess that dogs ca would show ads for the search
dogs california. But if you use all
three variations, it'll cover this better:
dogs ca
dogs calif
dogs california
CA is the Post Office's code for the state. It is not the
abbreviation of the state name
(Calif).
