Yep. That's right.
The Adgroup has a "Quality Score" (QS). That's
like your school GPA. The higher the QS, the
lower the cost per click and the higher the ad's position.
Other factors include:
- CTR of keyword (as Doug says below)
- CTR of ad
- cummulative CTR of keywords
- cummulative CTR of ads
- history of the acct
- lenght of the acct (the longer you're on, the better the
QS)
- the relevance of the adgroup to the topic
- the relevance of the landing page
Create highly focussed Adgroups that have high CTR (10-30%).
