Adding Account to Adwords Editor - 1 new

I've recently upgraded my account from the starter edition
because I want to
run many more ads. However, since doing so I've now realised
that I can only
edit my ads via the Adwords Editor. Anyway I've downloaded
version 4.0 but
when I attempt to "Add New Adwords Account" I get
a error message: "Either the
account you are try to access does not exist or you do not -
