Hi.
I have amended the template for DLT tapes that I have been using since
we have too many DLEs to fit the two column format and without my
amendments switching to a three column format caused the text to
overlap.
Specifically I have created two PostScript functions, StripDomain and TrimFs:
StripDomain removes the entire network part of the DLE hostname, so
xenarthra.terryburton.co.uk -> xenarthra
TrimFs trims the Fs part of the DLE to the rightmost part that fits in
the available space (prefixing with a * to indicate a trimmed entry),
so /dev/mapper/vg01-uml--SNAProot -> *apper/vg01-uml--SNAProot
Now I can fit about 250 DLEs on the A4 sheet without it appearing as
an unsightly mess. Sample pdf attached.
Hopefully this will help a number of other people so please feel free
to integrate these functions into the main amanda code.
Have fun,
Tez
