launch its 75th
anniversary on Monday, September 18, 2006. With the theme,
"Illuminating
the Past, Imagining the Future," you won't want to
miss the ceremony which
will feature special guests:
* Deanna Marcum, associate librarian for Library Services,
Library of
Congress
* Michael Ruettgers, senior advisor and retired chair, EMC2
Corporation
* Robert Martin, professor, Texas Women's University School
of Library and
Information Science
The event will also include musical entertainment, words
from university
and state officials, and a short video on the history of the
school.
The launch will take place at 2 p.m. in Memorial Hall on the
UNC at Chapel
Hill campus. A reception will follow.
