below (and be
able to congratulate) some winners of what were secret
awards. All awards
will be presented at the Awards luncheon on Tuesday,
November 7, in Austin,

The ISI Information Science Doctoral Dissertation Proposal

ISI Information Science Teacher of the Year Award to Tatjana
Aparac-Jelusic,
from University J. J. Strossmayer in Osijek and University

Croatia.
ProQuest Doctoral Dissertation Award- Vivien Petras, School
of Information
Management and Systems, University of California, Berkeley
for "Translating
Dialects in Search: Mapping between Specialized Languages of
Discourse and
Documentary Languages."
The Best JASIST Paper Award to Lisl Zach (Louisiana State
U.) for her paper
"When is 'enough' enough? Modeling the
information-seeking and stopping
behavior of senior arts administrators," which
appeared in volume 56, issue
1, pp. 23-35.
