Dear Colleagues:

As the 2006-07 Chair of SIG USE,  I hope you will join us at
the
following exciting SIG USE events at ASIST!

- The SIG USE Annual Research Symposium
*	The Influence of Affect in Information Seeking and Use:
Considerations for Research and Practice by Carol Collier

*	The Affective Revolution and Information Behavior Research

- The SIG USE Annual Dinner will be on Tuesday, November 7
at 6:00 pm at
Liberty Tavern in the conference hotel.  All are welcome.  

- Our annual planning meeting is from 11AM to Noon on
Monday,  November
6.  Bring your ideas for next year's symposium theme and
keynote, and
panel sessions.  Heidi Julien (University of Alberta) will
be starting
as our new SIG USE Chair, and Olof Sundin  (Lund University)
is the
2007-08 incoming chair.  We're meeting in Room 402 at the
conference
hotel.
