The Office of Strategic Initiatives at The Library of
Congress has embarked upon a major digital library
initiative, part of which involves the design and
development of digital repository systems. These systems
will support acquisition, preservation and access for a
large number of digital collections spanning a wide variety
of content types and formats. Successful candidates will
have extensive experience managing information technology
projects. Working knowledge of digital library technologies
and experience in digital library projects will be regarded
very positively. Successful candidates will work as members
of a team to design, develop, document and support new or
existing software systems within a repository development
program.
