the past few years we continue to see an explosion of
visionary new
strategies for organizing and providing access to
information products
and services. The forward-thinking problem-solvers among us
have
eagerly educated ourselves and developed plans to apply this
next
generation of theoretical and practical approaches to the
toughest
dilemmas in our information environments. And then we hit
the wall...

No matter how brilliant the idea or solution, only
organizations with
an established "culture of transformation" seem to
even listen to our
cutting edge solutions, never mind providing the resources
and
leadership support to explore these potential innovations.

So how do we cultivate "cultures of
transformation" in our
institutions? How do we carve out time and space for
exploration and
experimentation? How do we encourage the kind of
unrestrained
creativity from which the most revolutionary and lasting
improvements
have emerged? How do we craft guerilla innovation strategies
