CALL FOR CHAPTERS "Integrated E-Business Models
for Government Solutions: Citizen-Centric Service Oriented Methodologies and
Processes"
IGI Publishing, USA (http://www.igi-pub.com), has scheduled to publish
a book under Advances in E-Government Research Book Series - "Integrated
E-Business Models for Government Solutions: Citizen-Centric Service Oriented
Methodologies and Processes" The objective of this book is to examine
issues and promote research initiatives pertaining to bringing effectiveness in
e-Government.
We are pleased to invite you to submit a 2 - 5 page manuscript proposal
clearly explaining the mission and concerns of the proposed chapter on the theme
on or before November 15, 2007. The details are given below:
Call for Chapters:
Introduction
Governments all over the world are recognizing e-Government as a strategic
option to fine-tune their internal and external operations. In order to foster
citizen-centric services, they need to integrate themselves as well as
stakeholders vertically and horizontally. This can be achieved by bringing the
efficiencies and experiences of e-Business to e-Government. That requires
new e-Business models for Government solutions that reduce cost and improve
service effectiveness.
Objectives
The objective of this book is to examine issues and promote research
initiatives pertaining to bringing effectiveness in e-Government by suggesting
integrated e-Business models for government solutions, citizen-centric service
oriented methodologies and processes. The solutions in the form of e-Business
models and research initiatives will ease the implementation process of
e-Government solutions around the world.
The Audience
The perspective audience of this publication includes government agencies,
research institutions, software vendors, research scholars, consultants, and
academic institutions etc.
Recommended topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
Users’ acceptance / citizens’ trust in e-Government solutions
Horizontal and vertical integration of e-Government solutions Web
technologies for e-Government solutions. Citizen-oriented e-Business models
for government Government to Citizen (G2C), Government to Government (G2G),
and Government to Business (G2B) Service Delivery Models Security and ethical
issues in e-Government. HR issues and implementation strategies in
e-Government initiatives. Evaluating performance of e-government initiatives
Government-Citizens, Government-Business participation in e-Government
Bridging digital divide through e-Government. Capacity building
Initiatives in e-Government Knowledge management frameworks for
e-Government.
Submission Procedure
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before October
31, 2007, a 2-5 page manuscript proposal clearly explaining the mission and
concerns of the proposed chapter. Authors of accepted proposals will be notified
by November 30, 2007 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter
organizational guidelines. Full chapters are expected to be submitted by January
31, 2008. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review
basis. The book is scheduled to be published by IGI Global,
http://www.igi-pub.com, publisher of the IGI Publishing (formerly Idea Group
Publishing), Information Science Publishing, IRM Press, CyberTech Publishing and
Information Science Reference (formerly Idea Group Reference) imprints.
