"Introduction to Information Science and
Technology" will be an
introductory text for our field. The content will be edited

collaboratively and the resulting book published as an ASIST
monograph,
supported by web-based supplemental material.

ASIST SIGs have been invited to nominate chapter authors. We
still have
openings for contributors with expertise in the following
areas:
     Information Representation and Organization
     Structured Information Systems
     Information Policy
     Information Profession(s)
     Theoretical Issues

Please contact the IIST co-editors, Chuck Davis and Ralf
Shaw, for more
information. Let us know if you're able to prepare an
initial draft in one
of these areas or if you can suggest a chapter author.
