The National Library of Medicine (NLM), Collection Access
Section (CAS)
invites applications for a Technical Information Specialist.
The Collection Access Section comprises three separate
units:
Onsite Access Services, Interlibrary Loan, and Systems.
This position falls under the Systems Unit. Further

As a Technical Information Specialist, you will contribute
to a dynamic
team in the design, testing, implementation and support of
web
applications
and services that serve staff and customers across the US
and throughout
the
world. The Systems Unit develops and supports DOCLINE, the
web-based
interlibrary loan requesting system used by medical
libraries throughout
the country, and manages a highly automated imaging and
document
delivery
system supporting the operation of NLM's interlibrary loan
and on-site
collection access activities. The Systems unit also
provides hardware
and
software support for all CAS staff, working with NLM's IT
personnel as
needed.

SALARY RANGE: 48,108.00 - 75,669.00 USD per year
