Just 10 Days before the Abstract/Proposal Due Date!

The due date of chapter proposal is approaching for the book
entitled as
"Intellectual Property Protection for Multimedia
Information Technology".

Please let me know your tentative title with a short
abstract (150-200 words) 
by the end of this month, when you may need some extension
to complete 
your writing of substantive proposals (1000 -2000 words).

In addition, please disseminate this CFP to your friends and
colleagues, also

A book edited by Dr. Hideyasu Sasaki, Esq., Attorney-at-Law,

Introduction:

Researchers and practitioners in multimedia information
technology and, 
in particular, its institutional operations have
acknowledged the significance 
of the intellectual property protection. Current issues in
this area involve 
a variety of solutions which consist of both technical and
legal solutions. 
No book has satisfied those interdisciplinary demands. We
need a forum 
in which the leading professionals and researchers exchange
their experiences 
and wisdom in this area. In this book project, we would like
to invite 
the best researchers and practitioners with technical
backgrounds or 
legal, policy, economics experiences, in order to enhance
our ability to 
manage a variety of technical and institutional issues
regarding intellectual 
property protection in the multimedia information age.

The Overall Objective of the Book:

Those persons in the fields of computer science, information
science, 
information studies, etc., demand a reliable reference on
the current and 
future trends of multimedia intellectual property protection
from institutional 
aspects. The legal practitioners in public and private
sectors, and those 
persons in the fields of economics and policy studies have
been aware of 
a demand for an edited collection of articles which give
concise insights 
from both technical and institutional perspectives. This
book is designed 
to provide the researchers and practitioners with relevant
theoretical 
frameworks and, latest technical and institutional solutions
for multimedia 
intellectual property protection.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit to 
hsasakialumni.uchicago.edu 
on or before April 30, 2006, a 2-5 double-spaced page (Min.
800 - Max. 2000 words) 
manuscript proposal clearly explaining the mission and
concerns of the 
proposed chapter including tentative table of contents. In
the case of any difficulty on
proposal submission, you may submit a tentative title with a
short abstract (150-200 words) 
by April 30, 2006, and should complete substantive chapter
proposals by May 31st, 2006.

Authors of accepted proposals will be notified by June 1,
2006 about the status of their proposals 
and sent chapter organizational guidelines. Full chapters
(Min. 4000 - Max. 8000 words) are 
expected to be submitted by September 30, 2006. All
submitted chapters 
will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. The book is
scheduled to 
be published by Idea Group Inc., www.idea-group.com, 
publisher of the Idea Group Publishing, Information Science
Publishing, 
IRM Press, CyberTech Publishing and Idea Group Reference
imprints.
