Announcing DialogBlocks Version 3.11, October 12th 2006

Changes:



- Added "Use enums for identifiers" option to C++ Generation dialog.

- Now generates an Init() for each class, where member initialisation is 

done.

- Fixed a bug when deleting a sizer under a panel, when the sizer has 

further sizer siblings.

- Fixed a crash when replacing an element.

- Fixed typo in wxEVT_LEAVE_WINDOW.

- Added support for wxEVT_INIT_DIALOG.

- Now regenerates code in a timely fashion for separate-file elements 

after adding an event handler or building the project.

- Corrected encoding problem in resource C++ file (containing separate 

menus and menubars).

- If an identifier has mixed case, generated event function names now 

retain the case instead of converting to lower case.

- Sizer outlines are now also drawn on frames.

- Corrected hiding/disabling code generation for wxStaticBoxSizer.

Hi Julian,


 


got the new version of DB 3.11 Unicode and tested 
it.


 


I 
now get my german umlauts also in the wxWidgets app with both encoding set to 
ISO8859-1.


 


But now i get every time an error dialog, when i wish 
to access my resources.cpp/.h while in DB. The error says:


 


"The file could not be loaded using the specified 
encoding, utf8. DialogBlocks used ISO8859-1 instead. Please check your project 
encoding setting."


 


As i said, both encoding settings are set to ISO8859-1 
(nowhere utf8).


 


I 
tried...


...to save the project


...to regenerate the resources.cpp/.h file (merge 
mode)


...to regenerate the 
resources.cpp/.h file (overwrite mode)


...delete the files 
resources.cpp/.h on the disk and let them create from scratch from 
DB


 


with no success. I 
always get this a.m. error dialog.


 


After dismissing the 
error dialog i can work as normal and when i save the project i get my umlauts 
in all cases without manually editing all the german umlauts and my custom 
code addings are still there. So it has turned to better in this case, but the 
error dialog is really annoying. It pops up every time i click on the menubar in 
the left treeview, it pops up after regenerating the code 
a.s.o.


 


Do i sth. wrong here, or 
have you still a little bug in the new version?
