Good idea! And I'm sure Julian would be happy to do this in his copious spare time!;)
Actually, these posts seem to be coming from a single source re: stock market information. As such, they're pretty easy to recognize and easy to filter from each member's personal email. They also seem to come in fits an spurts. To me, they're minimally annoying. As far as them being listed at the site, well, that's life sometimes...
thx,
Dave S.

Hi,
actualy I do not belive that Julian would be that happy.
Another solution could be the one used on CCL (Computational Chemistry
List).
After sending mail to the list one obtains automatic replay with webpage
where one should "click"
submit. If nobody do it in 1--2 days this php-generated page disappears.

Hi!
Sorry... Sometimes I forget...
"... in my copious spare time..." in the US is understood to be tongue in cheek sarcasm. Not too many people have "copious" spare time. An equivalent phrase is "Sure, when I've got nothing better to do...", meaning there's usually more important things to be done. I believe Julian has many more important things to attend to and probably doesn't have spare time at all, much less copious!;)
The idea you have is a good one, but how to implement it in a Yahoo group... That's another kettle of fish! (oops! did it again! "A different problem").
Yahoo groups are meant to be quick and easy to implement and moderate (if you do have copious spare time to devote to moderating, you can be creative with them). Most Yahoo groups are "Set and Forget" and more or less run on their own. ;
MfG,
Dave S.

I perfectly aware that it was ment as a joke/sarcasm -- that's why I put
a smiley at the end
of the line. I ust wanted to give some optional solution.
To answer your question -- I have no idea how it can be done. I'll ask
Dr. Labanowski, who
is the coordinator of CCL, how it's done. Maybe solution is not that
hard to replicate.
If I find the answer I'll post it. (of course CCL has its own linux
server and is not yahoo group)
regards
