Buttons on a bitmap

Hi to all,
i've just started with DB and wxwidgets and I've a small problem that,
hope, someone can solve.
I tried to put a bitmap button on top of a static bitmap (aka the
background). When i run the program I can't see the buttons but only
the background until i move the mouse near the buttons: at this time
button are visible. But, if I iconize the window and restore, buttons
are off again.
Any help is appreciate.
