Hi!

It would appear that Ubuntu is a Debian derivative/clone, possibly
based on debian distribution, I don't know for sure which. I do know
Ubuntu offers packages from/for Debian and libraries for Debian
package development, so Debian would appear to be tied into its
ancestry somewhere. It doesn't offer any of the same for others, like,
say, Red Hat or derivatives or rpm style packaging. The linux
libsupc++ is installed with Ubuntu, 32 and 64 bit.
