Quick question on best practice. I am building a very simple app to get
my hands dirty with DialogBlocks. It's a data entry app and it's the
usual couple of text boxes with a button to make it do something
Now, ideally I want it to validate input as the user tabs from field to
field, then finally to do a last validation when the user hits the big
"go" button and read out the data and do something with it
At first glance the "Variables" section of DialogBlocks seems helpful,
but there are a few non-obvious issues:
1) The variables don't seem to update (which somewhat defeats the
object). I assume I need to force a refresh of them by forcing an event
to be fired
2) How to trap the focus events as the user tabs or clicks through the
form. I notice this is not one of the standard events captured - what
is the best way to hook into these events?
These are presumably very standard things to do so I would appreciate
some guidance on best practice
Cheers
