Thread: Basic SSL question

Basic SSL question

I am trying to set up a server that has two(2) ssl sites.

If I remember correctly, A long time ago Apache 1.3.9
you could only do one SSL site on a server.
I downloaded Apache 2.2.6.

Has this changed? if so how do I do it.
I can't find the statement saying weather you can do more
than one or
not at
http://httpd.apache
.org/docs/2.2/

I attempted to make two Virtual hosts one under one host
name the
other under the other host name using port 443
(NOTE Standard Virtual hosts work OK.)

I get the following message
VirtualHost dev.blahblah.com:443 overlaps with VirtualHost

dev.core.blahblah.com:443,
the first has precedence, perhaps you need a NameVirtualHost
directive

When you use the https:// it goes to the first site's pages
no matter
which site you key in.

Thank you for anything you can provide.

You can't do name based virtual SSL hosts. This is not a
limitation of
apache, this is a limitation of the https protocol, so a
more recent
version of apache doesn't solve your problem.
