i'm currently playing around with custom publications that
do not inherit from
the default pub. it turns out that the workflow usecases are
implemented in a
publication-specific module in default. this is very odd
indeed and should be
fixed before 1.4 imho.
or can anyone explain why those usecases should remain local
to an example
publication?

+1, with the exception of the homepage module - it's good to
have one example to
show that pubs can implement local modules, and the homepage
module is not
particularly useful out-of-the-box anyway.

i don't see why workflow actions should be something only
provided by an example
pub, not by the global modules. to me it's a very
fundamental feature of lenya.

defaultusecases is particularly weird in that the java
backend is implemented as
a self-contained module within the default pub, but the
jxtemplates are in
default/lenya/usecases/workflow.
if no one objects, i'll try and have a go at it.
