What's the status on a 1.4 RC? The fact that core parts of
1.4 keep
changing is becoming a real problem and quite frustrating. I
was told a
stable 1.4 release was not far out in December 2005. I think
many would
appreciate a feature and API freeze on 1.4, so that we can
have
something stable to build on.

Thanks,

Richard

welcome to the club watch out,
i used to be a paid web systems
builder, and now i'm a pro bono lenya committer :-D

absolutely. i think andreas is best qualified to comment on
the state of
things, since he has been the most active committer lately,
by a huge
margin... and btw, i think that most of his recent changes
were vital,
even though they took some effort to track.

i know i have one thing in the queue i'd like to push in
before the
freeze, and that is a consolidation and simplification of
the pub
configuration. i'll try to provide detailed upgrade guides
and a
migration script for unix-based installations. next in line
is getting
tinymce integration into a better shape, but that should not
be too
intrusive...

since you are apparently preparing a publication for
production use:
could you share this publication (w/o content, of course)
with us for
testing, or does it include proprietary code?
if i knew what features people are actually using and
relying on, i
would do extra tests before committing anything...

best regards, and many thanks for your many valuable
contributions,

jörn

I am using a little bit of all the standard stuff. I had to
change my
custom user type when the user code changed. I've had to
change my
usecase jx files because they have changed (trying to make
the forms
more simplified for my end users). My last build didn't
insert images or
recover from trash. I update and I can do those two items.
However, now
I see that only the last 7 revisions that are shown to
choose from. And
actually viewing a revision throws up an error.
lenya/trunk/src/modules/xhtml/xslt/clean-xhtml.xsl isn't
only called by
Kupu, so now img tags are converted to object tags and are
not
modifiable after the first save in FCKeditor.
