state of branch...

hi andreas, hi everyone!


the branch has been tested and should be ok for merging. the

instantiator should also work.

i'll be off the net until friday due to a job.

the multiple-inheritance stuff has not yet been removed in
the branch. 
in case anyone wants to look at my progress so far, there is
a patch at 
http://people.apache.org/~nettings/no-multitemplates.di
ff , but it does 
not work yet - it's not clear what to return in case no
template exists. 
both null and "" break some stuff.

please don't merge just yet, unless you're in a real hurry
to make the 
RC. i forgot to provide a migration script and transform
(don't want to 
piss off richard, lest he stop fixing my bugs...), and i
also want to 
try to get the ac configuration in there first. or are there
any 
objections to that?
