path separators...

hi *!

playing with the ac configuration, i found this snippet:

"config/ac/ac.xconf".replace('/',File.separatorCha
r

which is obviously a compatibility thing for the funny
colorful
operating system. i wonder: is this necessary? because i'm
pretty sure
that for example the publication.xconf code has a number of
hardcoded
slashes... either the trunk hasn't been working on windows
for quite
some time, or the java file layer takes care of this
conversion
automatically.

regards,

jörn

i'll try and fix these things when i see them.
out of curiousity: how do the drive letters map to the
file:/// uri
scheme? and does java also use the file:// convention for
relative paths
and file:/// for absolute ones?

Yes we will (desperately waiting for an RC...).
Unfortunately we didn't manage
to lure all our customers away from Windows yet...

I could do some (limited) testing, preferably with clearly
defined scenarios.

Thanks for your work!
