i've just browsed the zones demo. people are giving the poor
server a
jolly good beating. there's currently > 40 publications
problem is: the default (or soon-to-be "example")
publication is all but
invisible now.
how about
* hard-linking the example publication from the
introduction.html
content, to make sure it is always evident that people
should play with
this first?
* making it harder to create a new publication?
currently, we basically open a DOS hole by allowing any joe
sixpack to
clutter the disks. every serious lenya deployment needs to
disable the
createPublication usecase, but it's not even evident how
this is done.
would it be too much of an entry barrier to move the
createPublication
usecase *into* the example publication and require admin
rights to
execute it?
we could then put an explanation on the example pub's
index.html page
and point people to that feature.
that way, really interested users can still play with it,
but those
"wow, here's something i can click on" type of
users won't be tempted
plus, the custom publications need to be purged more
often...
