Google Summer of Code has started:
http://code.google.co
m/soc/2008

Does anybody have ideas for possible improvements by a
student? (I
assume any work would be for Lenya 2.)

What were the results from the last time the Lenya project
participated? Was the work added to trunk? Was participation
valuable
to our project?

The deadline is approaching on the 12th. Did we want to do
something? A
diff that could be understood (at least partially) by
someone who
doesn't know XML would be awesome. Syntax highlighting would
be quite
nice if we move to allowing the XSLT or CSS to be edited
inside of Lenya.

I hope I didn't overstep and bounds here. No one else
responded back to
this or posted anything in the wiki. So I've put in two
proposals for
their consideration. One for XML diffs. The other for
general UI
enhancements including CSS layout, site tree interaction
capaiblities,
and syntax highlighting; also saying there are more ideas on
bugzilla. I
hope this is okay for everyone.
