which returns 
404 Not found.

Eventually, I found the paper at

Would you guys, please, change the link on the main page?

thta link is in the "news" section from August
2006 ... at the time the
link worked.  i'm not sure i really want to be "editing
the past" just
because apachecon.com seems to have deleted all content from
AC2006US.

the slides are linked to from the wiki however...
