few short patches

Hello, list !
Here are two short patches, on problems i've spotted in
rivet
trunk svn checkout.
Please review, and comment.

Hi David

I will, I have a working copy of trunk on my lapotop,
but I don't know when I updated it last time. Does svn
have a function for inquiry that information? I will check
it out, but I'm quite confident rivet wasn't changed very
much since I did update it.

I've applied the patches: 
they look necessary for rivet-trunk to compile.
Unfortunately
my rivet-trunk doesn't build (regardless Valery's patches)
probably because my autotools version is broken or 
incompatible with the trunk's set-up.

checking system version (for dynamic loading)...
./configure: line 26436:
syntax error near unexpected token `('
./configure: line 26436: `    case `(ac_space=' '; set |
grep ac_space) 2>&1` in'

which doesn't help the developer with a
from-poor-to-average
knowledge of auto-troubles

I'm sorry, but since I focused my work on the pending 1_0
release I missed to keep the trunk in synch with the
autotools
and can't do it know, since I'm away from home right now and

without an inet connection for my linux laptop (never
managed to
let a winmodem work on linux).
