example a <s:textfield> tag is used inside a
<td> element since the extra end-of-line character
inserted prevents from having the </td> directly
following the <input /> element. In such cases, IE is
known for adding extra space, possibly messing layout. The
simple theme's purpose being to add absolutely nothing more
than the associated html elements themselves, then this a
bug.
