Hi Kristof.

TSIK has its own SOAP implementation but you can use whatever implementation
you need. (If you find the Axis model too complicated to configure and use, you can
use the built-in SOAP stack).

wsdl2java is an Axis tool so obviously it generates classes that fit right into Axis ;)

There is a org.apache.tsik.wst package that is a start of a WS-Trust implementation.

Thanks,
Hans ;

Hi,

I’m in fact wondering why apache TSIK has its own soap implementation, and how I can use that in a application server setting.

I see that axis1.2.1.jar and jaxrpc.jar is included in the resources directory.

I basically want to create an authentication service on tomcat or Jboss AS, and I’m wondering how I can get it to work.

More exactly:

I’m creating an authentication service using FIPS196 protocol (implemented using ws-trust challenge-response).

I’m following the top-down approach being I started from the WSDL file that is mentioned in the WS-trust spec.

So what would be nice is that when I use a WSDL2Java ant task, that the generated classes use the objects from the TSIK package!

Now, axis generates loads of object that in fact already exist in the TSIK package.

Is there a way so I can get a Service Endpoint Interface built from the objects in the TSIK package?

The main problem lies within the binding I think.

Any experience with this?

Thanks a lot,

Not aware of any articles. There are some use cases in the javadocs. Are you looking for more specific use cases? If so, can you share a bit more of what you want to do?

Hi,

Is there a place where I can find some more information about the usage of
the TSIK package?

I'm working on an authentication service using ws-trust on a java
application server.

Are there some tsik-examples available somewhere? Or maybe a few articles
and use-cases?

This would be very much appreciated.

Greetings,

Kristof.
