In Squiggle, CSS escapes don't work at all.

.x78x {} matches class="x78x" instead of
class="xxx"
.x78 {} matches class="x78 " (but not
class="x78") instead of class="xx"

The Scanner has code for scanning escapes, but they seem
never to be
actually converted to the corresponding character.
