XMLBeans quarterly report to board

Here's the report I will be making to the board for this
quarter:

XMLBeans Status report for January-March 2006

1. Added Lawrence Jones as an XMLBeans committer.

2. No new major development lately -- mainly bug fixes
lately to the
2.1 release.  Should be releasing a 2.1.1 in next quarter.

3. Related to #2 above, there has recently been a drop in
traffic on
the dev list (other than lots of jira activity).  However,
the user
list is stronger than ever.

4. xmlbeanscxx folks are slowly getting started.

5. I'm thinking it's about time I step down as XMLBeans
PMC chair. 
I'm not actively involved in the project, but have been
doing my best
to handle chair responsibilities.  I think the project would
benefit
from having an active committer take my place, while I stay
on as a
PMC member.

I hope there's at least one PMC member out there who might
be willing
to be nominated to take over chairing this project.  I've
been doing
it from its inception -- someone else's turn.

It's ultimately up to the ASF Board to appoint someone
(usually based
on a vote of the PMC), but for those interested, here are
the folks on
PMC today who would be eligible:
