Re: two features I'd really like to see in ardour.

I've got an additional but related feature request:  there
should be a 
global "lock time of regions" button or menu item
that allows you to 
move a region between tracks but not side-to-side.

This is a request from a professional post mixer.

Having this functionality in 3 different ways:
middle-mouse-click, 
region-context-menu, and global-setting may be overkill but
there may be 
users using all  three, I dunno.

I agree, but, I think (IMHO) "Lock Position" would
cover this, as long
as it allowed dragging/moving between tracks - perhaps it
could snap to
locked position after dropping/moving?
