app_queue.c: Strategy linear and thread-save Locks

Hello Dev-List,

i've created a patch for app_queue.c which implements a
linear strategy 
and an escalate function.

The tracker URL's are:

bweschke mentioned that they are not thread save. As i've
understand is, 
that app_queue.c is
operating in single mode which makes it atomic. Mutex locks
are also 
only done
if the application is calling a channel.

Could some help me in that case ?
